Hi, Recently, I keep getting a message that says "Waiting to run"(.24CPU + 1 NVIDIA GPU) for one of the tasks, but it never seems to resume. Any Clues? Thanks. |

It started to run, then another task ran at high priority, now the first task is waiting for a chance to get running again. There is little you can do but sit and wait, BOINC should make sure it completes before it times out. Hi, Most computers do not cope well if the GPU is used for computation while it is also being used for the display. The computer gets really sluggish. The default is to not do computations with the GPU if the user is active. Thus, most of the time when you are looking, you have also used the keyboard and mouse recently, and the GPU computation will not be running. BOINC keeps track of what fraction of the time the CPUs and GPUs are allowed to run separately. If your GPU does not get much computation time, it will be much more likely to run in high priority mode (i.e. Earliest Deadline First from the set of projects that have a task in deadline trouble).
