One of the last true movies of the Christmas spirit. Not too many left.

The Polar Express. 1994. Tom Hanks's voice one last time exprsses what the at least the Christian Chistmas spirit is all about. And not much of what God is about left about, too.

Alllllllllllllll aboard. The kittens...............express.

This is one excellent movie, my friends.

Get on board..........unless........you don't believe.

His last narrative at the end of the movie says a lot........
I wish there was a way I could post for you just the last few momemnts of Hank's words from this movie.

The bell still rings for me.......
Does it still ring for you?
You see, the bell always rings for me. It always has.
It always has...........

It always makes me cry when he says that.............
Yes, the bell always still rings for me.

Meow,.

Meow.
A kitty keeps loneliness away.
More meowing, less hissing. I speak meow, do you?

Have made friends in this life.
Most were cats.

Thank you, Carlos.

You see, as I do, that Christmas is about more than large gifts.

I gave my love, Lori, a gift of AAA towing membership. Hardly a batch of flowers. But, I wanted to give her something useful, and her old jalopy is on it's last legs. So, rather then buy her a stuffed kitty of something else useless this Christmas, I bought her that AAA gift. She had been worrying about her car for months now, and I wuz thinking about what I could possibly give her.

It was purrrrrrrrrrfect.

Ya see. the movie......the Polar Express.
Is more about whether you hear to bell.................\\
Than whether you actually listen.

As I said before.........I, my friends, still can hear the bell.

The Polar Express. 1994.

Meow,.

Meow.

2004, Mark, not 1994. Surprisingly, since I'm a railfan, I haven't seen that movie. I did read the book last year before I gave it to my cousin's young son, though.

I think if they had just stuck to the book without Hollywood embellishment, it would have been a half hour TV special. It could have run right after the Grinch every year.
