I'm glad Chris went where I was leading with punster.

IF any of you have never experienced the Alan Parsons Project album 'Tales of Mystery and Imagination' on a sufficiently powered stereo system.....
Like a thousand watts or so, with a subwoofer.....
Or maybe a good pair of headphones.

It can be a life changing event.

Acid, alcohol, or cannabis is optional, but highly recommended.

It was a staple at after-bar-hours events held by myself some 30 years ago, and well attended, I might say.

I, being the keeper of the tunes, restricted myself to alcohol and the observation of the effects the music and the optional add-ons had on the attendees.

Ramblin' man=Hank Williams song

"That ain't no Hank Williams song!" (Let's see who gets that movie reference.)

Actually, it is but I didn't know it. I only know the Allman Brothers version.

Aww, shit.

It was a reference from this scene.......

If I have to spell it out for you.....
The sign out front when.....Oh, shall I continue to explain the scene???

I shall if some do not understand.

All they have to do is watch the clip and they'll understand.

What's the Wisconsin connection to this movie?

If my info is correct, and there is a lot of urban legend about the Blues Brothers movie......

The scene where they are driving over a bridge that suddenly ends was filmed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

There was a bridge that interestingly enough, ran just a short distance over the Summerfest grounds there. It was not completed for many years.....and was dubbed the bridge to nowhere.

I was introduced to B.C. at school in Asmara, by some American friends, which must have been close to when B.C. started.

Liked these Johnny Hart cartoons and naturally started enjoying the Wizard when that appeared.

American Newspaper sites are good places to keep up all the old classic strips.
