Did you know that the first trans Atlantic telephone cable is still in use? If you are unlucky enough to get one of the 48 lines, you will get a terrible connection.

[edit]

If I recall correctly, they come up near Menlo Park

[edit 2]

#1 and #2 went through Nova Scotia. #3 landed in New Jersey.

Or even "bill" as an alternative name for "beak" Once you've arrived at "beak", "wing" flows on quite naturally (at least in my small brain...).

As has been said this thread is an education. I most enjoy it when I can't see the link and have to go off and have a good dig to find the fragment of a quote in the darkest corner of a library that leads me to the light-switch of understanding.

I like to go with the first thing that pops into my mind. "Animals" started me humming:

Animal crackers in my soup
Lions and tigers loop the loop

Anybody know the rest of the words?

I like to go with the first thing that pops into my mind. "Animals" started me humming:

Animal crackers in my soup
Lions and tigers loop the loop

Anybody know the rest of the words?

Animal crackers in my soup
Monkeys and rabbits loop the loop
Gosh oh gee but I have fun
Swallowing animals one by one
In every bowl of soup I see
Lions and Tigers watching me
I make 'em jump right through a hoop
Those animal crackers in my soup
When I get hold of the big bad wolf
I just push him under to drown
Then I bite him in a million bits
And I gobble him right down
When their inside me where it's dark
I walk around like Noahs Arc
I stuff my tummy like a goop
With animal crackers in my soup
Animal crackers in my soup
Do funny things to me
They make me think my neighbourhood
Is a big menagerie
For instance there's our Janitor
His name is Mr Klein
And when he Hollers at us kids
He reminds me of a Lion

Before you ask the front suspension forks on my bike are a model called Wotan.
They are stiffer and have less travel than the originals, which suits me better. I tend not to go over the top of the handle bars so often now.

Guessing here
Hot dog = slang for a bright, quick thinker
Notion = an idea or thought

Nice link

I was thinking more along the lines of forked lightning bolts.
