Hi, I have been a Seti@Home member since 2006 and I have a total of just over 300,000 work units, however the website and client are only showing what I have done on the system I am using now (about 3500). How can I combine all of my work units since I began? Thanks Joe Lore Darkstar |

Hi, You probably started a second account when you moved to the new computer. Accounts cannot be merged. You will have to pick one (and if you cannot log into the old account, the decision may be made for you). You have to either remember the email address and password for the old account, have a running system under the old account, have a backup of a system under the old account, or have the original email that was sent with your authenticator (and only if it was created long enough ago). Or just have access to the email address that the other account was registered with, so you can have a temporary login link sent to you when going through http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/get_passwd.php Then you can log in on the other account, change the password there before Detaching/Removing Seti from the computer and re-adding it with the new login details. Nope. Logged in with the same credentials, same email address, username, account etc.. etc.. everything is the same. Should I talk to one of the web masters? thanks, Joe Lore Darkstar |

Logged in with the same credentials, same email address, username, account etc.. If you have logged in with the same email address, then this is the account you're talking about. In that case there's not much to do. The email address is the unique identifier. If you still feel it's wrong, point us towards the account you think is yours. I just checked in BOINCStats for all users called Darkstar, of all spellings and all USA or International. None have credits in the amount of 300,000. Instead they're either way more, or way less. Of course, it is possible that you crunched for another project and managed to get 300K credit there. These are however not Seti credit and thus cannot be added to the account here. All projects are individual. |

Logged in with the same credentials, same email address, username, account etc.. I spelled it "Darkstar" and the amount was an approximation. I do not know the exact figure. I have never crunched for any other project but Seti@Home. So what you are saying is I have to start from scratch, all my previous work will not be credited to me? If I was able to log in just fine with the same email address and your servers recognized me as Darkstar then I can't fathom what the problem is, unless there was some sort of crash or wipe of data between then and now. Any ideas? Joe Lore Darkstar |

Logged in with the same credentials, same email address, username, account etc.. The unique ID is the email address. Was the old account a BOINC account or a Classic account? BOINC WIKI |

It's not my servers, let me put that up front. I am a user, just as you. However, you say that you spelled your account "Darkstar", yet here you post with "DarkStar", which is different. So perhaps still two different accounts. Or two different ways to spell your email address. |

uhhm, yes I believe you are right. I originally spelled it with all caps and I used my email address at the time I started which was a company address. I "thought" I changed the info years ago as I remember last time I had a dedicated machine for Set@Home I had the 300,00+ units. I will look into it and post my findings or failure. Yes I suspected you were a user and I sincerely appreciate your help in this matter. Thanks' again, Darkstar |

Well, I tried every email I could have used back then and the system says no email address of that type found, so, either it was purged or I need to look at some really OLD emails to see if I had another one. I guess I will keep this account for now. Thanks, Darkstar |

Found your other account. It's this one, DARKSTAR, all caps, sign up date 24 Sep 2008, 370,064 credits. So you'll have to go and remember further. :-) |
