Snow on the ground for two days in a row, forecasts highs of less than zero for the next few days. Might get a White Christmas!

It can all melt right after that.

We got a little bit of a break. Great thing is that the temp is nearing 40°F so everything we've accumulated over the last week is starting to disappear! However, we're due for a weeklong hammering.

Yep about the same here as well. Mind you, the UK west Country is a bit more than just soggy, whole villages are being evacuated.

Help!

Oh my... The rain doesn't stop here as well...

The news this morning said to be an official white Christmas, there has to be at least an inch on the ground. We will get flurries both Monday and Tuesday, but there won't be an inch. Wednesday, maybe.

It can all melt right after that.

Right.

Right.

The last time this area had snow, kind of hard to believe that a desert can get snow, but back in 2008 this area got 6" of snow, Victorville some 45 miles away got 1' of the stuff, the 15 from the pass to the border with Nevada was closed due to snow, that day it became very quiet...

Giorgio has called on the aliens to make it snow over your area. He will then mop it up with his hair.

It has to warm up here before it can snow. Go figure.

We still have snow on the ground from a week ago. At least I've managed to dig my car out now from when the snow plow went down the street and buried it.

Of course you do realize that -40C is also ironically -40F...

The last storm went by us to the north. The next one is supposed to go by to the south. Fine with me. Although it doesn't give me a chance to use my 4 wheel drive.

Or even the Army's 6 wheel drive for that matter.

Here it's 47F(8C) and partly cloudy, 20% chance of rain tonight, increasing to 30% on Wednesday the 26th, still no snow. I think this is rapidly becoming the new weather thread.

It seems that Marit Bjorken of Norway is not going to compete in the Tour de Ski because of a cardiac problem. My best wishes to her.
