We just got dumped by 13" of snow. I knew I should've knocked on wood when I made the comment that this might actually be a mild winter! Anyone else gettting snow? If so, how much?

The prediction for the high desert is snow, if one is at 3000' elevation, I'm at about 1928', missed it by 1072'...

I can see snow on the mountains, but nothing for me.

Of course Flagstaff and Prescott got hit with 6" to over a foot.

We are WAY behind our snow schedule in this corner of the Great White North, but that is supposed to change by the weekend.

Snow? It isn't January yet and we might not get any even then.

That was figurative speech as I don't currently have one :-) Can I blame yours?

Is that why she is your ex?

You have My sympathy, here where I live we have 110 days of 100F+ temps, sometimes it rains too, but then part of summer here is the monsoon season.

You could. However, she is rather crafty in the psychological field and would probably end up making you feel horrible for doing so!

The ski races have started. Ted Ligety, USA, is dominating the giant slaloms with the new skis which have to be at lest 2 meters long. Lindsey Vonn, USA, seems in bad shape, and Maria Riesch, Germany, is being overtaken by Tina Maze, Slovenia, a pretty girl. Once when the Ski World Federation wanted even to regulate the womens' underwear besides the length of their skis, she opened her skiing attire on hear breast and the bra wore a sign on it "none of your business".

Chicago 9 days ago (or is it 16?) tied its record for most consecutive days without measurable snow and continues to extend the record with each passing day. Looks like it will finally be set this week. Possibly today, more likely Thursday.

(Measurable means more than a trace, at least 1/10".)

I don't care too much about the snow, but we do need the precip in any form, desperately.

Where I am we've only had just one sprinkling of snow so far, and even that didn't stick. I would like it very much if it snowed on Christmas day though.
