Well if you were God do you think you would be doing the cooking? :)) Yes, Grant, because Saint Peter is certainly not a very good cook ! ;) That 2nd line sounds so humorous, both You & Chris type in French better than I ever will. And my English will never be so good as yours, Victor ! ;) It's necessary that I read again W.Shakespeare or H.Melville with a plate of singed bananas covered with molten peanut butter ! ____________ Founder of french team BRIGADE DU COSMOS

Some are allergic to peanut butter or maybe just the peanuts that it's made from, thankfully I'm not, although I find I like cashews more.

Locally we can get "organic" peanut butter, made with no added oil and no added salt. Tastes like ... well, can't use that word in a family friendly forum.

Almond butter is made near here.. an alternative for those who have peanut allergies. Every time I have done it after a week or so the oil starts coming to the top.

Almond butter is made near here.. an alternative for those who have peanut allergies. That is a good thing. Commercial peanut butter is up to 2% hydrogenated oil stabilizer that prevent the separation.

How about a pastrami on rye? With peanut butter on one slice of bread and Swiss cheese on the other side of the pastrami. ____________ Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired

Almond butter is made near here.. an alternative for those who have peanut allergies. On my first boat, in the mid-1970s, on long runs we carried PB in #6 cans (about the size of a 1-pound jar). One time I caught a messcook about to throw away 4 cans that had started to separate. He thought it was bad. I told him to get a knife and stir it back in. Probably saved his butt (Leading cook was my roommate back in Pearl). As I recall, it took him a loooooooong time to qualify. ____________ Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired

How about a pastrami on rye? One of my favorite sandwiches - on whole wheat or multi-grain bread: Peanut Butter, Bologna (all-beef), American Cheese, Pastrami, Provolone, Ham, Mozzarella, Turkey, Monterey Jack, Horseradish. With a cold root beer or a wheat beet to wash it down. ____________ Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired
