I've had to remove BOINC from several machines - after an uninstall I noticed that inside the User Accounts - Group Membership properties there are still BOINC_admins Boinc_projects and Boinc_users I thought the uninstall would clean up and I've rebooted these machines, but these group properties are still there... Is there a way to remove them? phill |

Try Manually removing the folders. I Desire Peace and Justice, Jim Scott (Mod-Ret.) |

Hello Jim, The Folders were all removed perfectly during the uninstall - Its just the properties of the USER - when you are in user accounts and you look at a users privilege -like administrator - the boinc privileges are not removed... this leads to a Spanish Inquisition from the IT folks here in the lab! phill |

It's not just groups/users that are left on the system, the data directory and entries in the registry will stay there as well. As how else do you think you can do an upgrade, if the uninstaller removes all that data all the time? ;-) HAL already showed part of the cleanup. A complete writeup is in this BOINCFAQ. |
