Is it possible to change the resource share in BOINC for certain projects? Like give SETI 50% resources and two other projects 25% each?

Thanks !

BOINC works on a time share, I'm not sure what the time constant is, but its hours not seconds.
On each project account page you can set the priority for each, say 1000 for the one you want to do most work, and 500 each for the other two.

The swap interval is also settable as something like switch tasks every X minutes. Please be aware that too short means spending a great deal of your time doint the task switch. And too long will affect your ability to keep work on your system. The first is because the tasks from some projects take several minutes to load from a checkpoint. The second is because the calculation for computation deadline includes the task switch interval as a term. In my experinece, too short is anything much less than a half an hour, and too long is anything much longer than a day.

The calculation of resource Fraction is per computer. Resource Fraction(project) = Resource Share (project)/ Sum of all resource shares of all projects on this computer.

Notes: Once a task is sent to a computer, that task needs to be finished before its computation deadline (which is earlier than the report deadline). If a project has to borrow time from other projects in order to get its tasks done, it will give that time back by not being allowed to send work to the client if possible and still keeping the queue on the client full.

Yeah, I have not messed with that setting, it is default. I wanted to assign less resources to LHC because it lags the laptop out when running hoping that might help, it seems to have worked somewhat. thanks for the info
