I know it's not a lot. I know it's not enough.
But it is more than I really should give at this time.
Yet, I think this project is more important that a couple of tins of kitty food or a few extra cuppa Starbucks. I can work it out.

Can't you???????

Message 1342864 - Posted: 4 Mar 2013, 3:15:43 UTC - in response to Message 1333972.

A very fine encouraging message. When people donate to Seti@home they need to be sure to give the e-mail associated with their account. I forgot that and used the account I use most for business transactions. Whoops, it was not the one associated with Seti@home. My Green Star will be delayed because of this and Uli is helping me with that. I thought about my willingness to donate much like you did Mark. I've invested all this money in graphics cards. A donation will help Seti at Home with getting the project's needs fulfilled. I'm thinking of improved handling of uploads and downloads and improved staffing.

With hundreds of thousands of active volunteers, there's good reason to believe a large proportion of us would contribute to help the project's center and staffing needs. Beginning now with this first donation, I promise to talk about Seti with my friends and raise its charitable profile with them. P.S. Here's the link that explains how effective Seti@home is as a scientific project. Overall about 90% of the funds go directly toward project expenses and very little to fund raising expenses. That's excellent and up there with the best.

Maybe I need to make a trip to CV?

OK, folks.
The kitties need more of you 'little' donors to step forward, please.

It just takes a few minutes, and only a few dollars.

I have said this before, and I'll say it again.

Nobody has to feel insignificant if they can only donate a little bit.
If enough of the thousands of users would only take the time to toss a small amount into the pot, it would be overflowing.

If for whatever reason, you would rather not have a green star next to your name, you can hide the thingy.

But please, do take just a few moments and give what you can.
And if you really feel that you cannot do more than donate your computer time, the kitties have come to accept that as well.

Thank you.

But, they thank you for the nice donation.
Make sure your parakeet gets whatever treats it is that parakeets like.

Hi,

Although I've not donated this year, I have donated $100 throughout my time as a Seti user.

Now I'm pretty active using GoodSearch and can encourage others to use this if they find it hard to find the Money for a donation.

Thank you, Gabriel.

Yes, even if one does not have much spare change, if you surf the web and do a search now and again....
Using Goodsearch with Seti as your chosen cause does collect those pennies and tosses them into the Seti kibble bowl.

And it costs you nothing to do so.

Certain purchases made online through Goodsearch can collect even more kibbles for the project as well.
