Looks like the servers are up but it keeps telling me there's no tasks available at this time for this project. So it's still messed up.

Don't worry, they'll fix it.

Ivan, thanks for the quick response. I have several servers and desktop computers that all keep saying "communication deferred" when I try to let SETI run. Other projects work fine. Any suggestions? Really don't want to delay the discovery any further ;)

My systems still have the "schedular down" message as the "latest news" as well. Might want to consider updating that.

Ivan, thanks for the quick response. I have several servers and desktop computers that all keep saying "communication deferred" when I try to let SETI run. Other projects work fine. Any suggestions? Really don't want to delay the discovery any further ;) Tell me about it, I've been looking for the Higgs boson for 11 years; we've found one but now our competitors reckon they have two... One problem can be stale information in your DNS cache, if you haven't rebooted for a while (but if they are Windows machines you did re-boot after last Tuesday's security patches, right? :-) On Windows, stop BOINC and do > ipconfig /flushdns On Linux it can vary; my Scientific Linux machines use $ /etc/init.d/nscd restart Another problem (that I had just yesterday) is if you are using a HTTP proxy and the owner of the proxy server has decided not to tolerate your traffic any more. ...in which case find a new proxy or try without (Tools -> Options -> HTTP Proxy). The "Communications deferred" message in the Projects tab can hide a multitude of sins; what messages do you see in the Event log window when you try to communicate?
I don't think there was a "Back up again" message this time around. ____________

The ipconfig /flushdns command didn't work. Still "down until further notice". I do get new tasks to crunch, though.

Any idea when it will be back up and running

Any idea when it will be back up and running Three weeks ago. You are posting in a thread which relates to a problem which started on 23 November 2012, and was resolved on 28 November 2012. See the Front Page News.

Ah, I see the problem. This thread is showing on the notice tab but the newer Scheduler is back up thread is not on the notice tab.

My systems still have the "schedular down" message as the "latest news" as well. Might want to consider updating that. So may I suggest locking this thread? ____________ David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri.

My systems still have the "schedular down" message as the "latest news" as well. Might want to consider updating that. I've always thought that these threads in the News and Technical News sections should be locked as they are posted to keep the rubbish out of them. Cheers. ____________
