It's been 10 years or so since I last participated in the SETI project and I'm without doubt overlooking something very obvious, but HOW does one request new work? I can't find the darn button, either in advanced or simple mode.

It's been 10 years or so since I last participated in the SETI project and I'm without doubt overlooking something very obvious, but HOW does one request new work? I can't find the darn button, either in advanced or simple mode. BOINC automatically request new work when attaching to project. But currently Seti@Home doesn't have work available, there is problem with servers, you can read more about it from here ____________

Thanks WezH. I just noticed the server down message. Just curious, but is this a common occurance and (I realize this would difficult to estimate) how long do these 'downtimes' typically last.

Thanks WezH. I just noticed the server down message. Just curious, but is this a common occurance and (I realize this would difficult to estimate) how long do these 'downtimes' typically last. They last anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks. There is a regularly scheduled Tuesday outage for maintenance at SETI. This typically lasts 4 to 8 hours. The backlog of everyone replenishing their queues lasts until about Friday... ____________ BOINC WIKI
