uploading has quit working! Well, it IS Tuesday, scheduled outage day. They are usually completely down by this time for a number of hours. Surprised things are still up this time of day. With Matt back in the house, they may be preparing for some restructuring. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

you are correct Mark. surprised that shut down is this late. I am gonna run out of GPU task in about 2 hours at this rate My fastest rig has already crunched up a good portion of it's allotment, and won't even last that long. Dang limits. I hope Matt can get things sorted soon and we can get back to some sort of normal caching around here. Meowsigh. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Okay, this is weird. We're back up after maintenance, except the scheduler is still down. David Sitting on my butt while others boldly go, Waiting for a message from a small furry creature from Alpha Centauri. |

Network traffic has dropped off, there is work in the Ready to Send buffer, yet the only result i've been getting from requests for work has been "No tasks sent". I haven't reached my limits, it's just not sending work. Had a look back through my log, and apart from a couple of requests that did get work, "No tasks sent" is the current response to work requests. Grant Darwin NT |

Something is borked.... My best rig has no GPU tasks on board. Just did a request for GPU only and got a message that it had reached a limit on tasks in progress. ??? Is the GPU limit now zero? (It was probably referring to the CPU, but no GPU work has been sent to that rig for HOURS.) Did they muck with the scheduler? I dunno..... Kitties are getting frustrated. EDIT... OK, everything's allright now. The rig just got ONE GPU task issued. Meowsigh. EDIT II... And that task kept one GPU busy for 1 minute and 22 seconds. Reported it and got.......zilch. The kitties are NOT amused. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Something could be wrong indeed ... the only messages I've been seeing for the past few hours are 19/12/2012 11:06:50 | SETI@home | Reporting 5 completed tasks, requesting new tasks for NVIDIA 19/12/2012 11:06:57 | SETI@home | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 19/12/2012 11:06:57 | SETI@home | No tasks sent EDIT (11:45:00) the rigs just got a fair amount of new crunchy food ;) To boldly crunch ... |

indeed I confirm: all recent work I got was VLAR. and now I'm getting: 19/12/2012 11:55:30 | SETI@home | Reporting 7 completed tasks, requesting new tasks for NVIDIA 19/12/2012 11:55:32 | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site 19/12/2012 11:55:32 | SETI@home | Scheduler request failed: Server returned nothing (no headers, no data) 19/12/2012 11:55:33 | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down. Normally I don't check the logs that much, but at the moment I do since I've upgraded CUDA from v3.2 to v4.2 (GTX 5xx cards) & V5.0 (GTX 6xx card) We'll see how it progresses anyway: no panic, the rigs will crunch what they get, plain & simple ;) To boldly crunch ... |

Just got home from work, did a manual update on 3 of my 4 boxes. All reported and got new tasks, including 13 shorties for my dual P4. Bouncing between VLARs and VHARs (shorties) - feel like a tennis ball. But everything seems to be working for my boxes right now. Donald Infernal Optimist / Submariner, retired |
