How is it that something quite serious like the world's economy tanking & yet get no replies

could be the source has been considered and given the weight it should be given and the answer is that no reply is the correct answer.

Looks like the promise made of an In/Out referendum after the next election was all lies....

PM says that running a country is like Tantric Sex

"This is a tantric approach to policy-making. It will be even better when it does eventually come..."

Unfortunately, we can guarantee that Santa comes, even if it is only once a year, unlike this referendum!

"In the midst of the economic crisis, France's Socialists are denying reality. The minister of industrial renewal is calling for nationalization of some industries, while the president shies away from necessary structural reforms. Business leaders fear the clock has been turned back 30 years."

French in Denial

Eurozone agree bank oversight deal

"Merkel on Thursday morning explicitly thanked German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schäuble for "pushing through Germany's core demands." Er, excuse me Frau Corleone, shouldn't that say "Europe's"?

A cold heart for Europe

It seems that Der Spiegel has slipped up in it's reporting.......

"She currently holds the fate of Europe in her hands. If the euro is rescued, Merkel will get most of the credit, and if it falls apart, she will be forced to shoulder the blame.
No other German chancellor has had as much power on the European continent as Merkel. And yet, ironically enough, none of Merkel's predecessors were as dispassionate about the European Union as the woman currently governing from the Chancellery."

There was one more powerful than her..... AH

Quite right, and the groups of Federalists are beginning to be reported as moving towards the UK in an associate partnership with the EU. I think this is in anticipation of a new Integrationist Treaty during 2014. At least that is what today's Times is reporting in a very good article.

If this means moving back to the Common Market we voted to stay in during 1975, them I say good and look forwards to seeing that happen.

But I still contend that Edward Heath, when he took us in, knew the long term plan so, therefore lied to us. I hope he is spinning in his grave at a speed enough to cause him to burst in to flame.

I wasn't in the UK when Edward Heath was PM except for one quick trip. During the 3 day week, my mum said there were no candles and very few torch batteries to be found in the shops.

So I drove home, on leave, with 10,000 candles and 5,000 'D' size batteries and made a killing.

More EU waste.....

Ready to Rock?

"EU officials funding the scheme say the pop world is dominated by Anglo-Saxon and American groups, making it difficult for musicians from smaller member states to make their mark."

If they're good enough, they'll break through without any help from Brussels!

The truth is that if we were not in the ECM we would be free to negotiate
our own trade deals with the rest of the world. The trade deals would be virtually
the same as though's that we have with the ECM. But these new trade deals with
the rest of the world would not be costing Britain £50 million a day as they
do as being a part member of the ECM. Leaving the ECM will not cost Britain in
lost markets or jobs for we have the ECM by their proverbial nuptials for they
need out markets desperately. Brussels is scared to the marrow that we might
leave for if we go then the ECM will collapse within a very short period of
time. If we hold a referendum Brussels's will pump millions and millions of
pounds into market advertising and backhanders to try and sway the vote their
way. If your a well known pop star, actor or one of those many useless playboy/
playgirls constantly doing the society rounds each could pick up several
hundred thousand pounds from Brussels if your prepared to say, "I think it is
better for us all if we vote to stay in"....kaching!! take the money and run.
Sirius, we each need to get publicly known about our anti-ECM stance. For if
the referendum finally comes about then Brussels will pay each of us at least
£1 million to change our stance and say that we should all vote to stay in.

A recognised threat

An unrecognised threat

Most, if not all terrorist groups have been declared iilegal organisations & according to the Yanks "War on Terror", are being sought out & destroyed.....

...but what about "legal terrorism?" Where's the war on those that wish to destoy the sovereignty of nations? Where are the elections to install those "legal terrorists" to rule?

If the recognised threat is real, where is the military manpower going to come from to combat that threat?

After 4 years of economic meltdown, just why are the Yanks now declaring that the UK should remain part of the EU? Just what's in it for them?

3rd round of cuts

Jonathan Beale BBC defence correspondent provides an interesting analsys: -

"But what happens when those niche capabilities are not enough? It's at that point that politicians tend to think about force, and the size of the Army would suddenly matter. "

As for our forces only providing logistics.......

....don't they have a cost to the taxpayer as well or will the EU give a rebate?
