you really dont have to manually send results. They should go at least once every 24 hours. IF this doesnt happen then you have something to investigate In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |

Hello Shadow, thank you for joining Seti. It is recommended that you don't run the screensaver as it will slow down your processing. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

Hello Shadow, thank you for joining Seti. Some people like watching the screen saver as they consider it fun. In some places, it is also useful advertising... BOINC WIKI |

ok i am super new to this and wondering if the screen saver thing has been fixed ? is so mine is not working So we determined you're willing to use the screen saver. :-) In order for the screen saver to work, your videocard needs drivers that enable the OpenGL component. When you use the drivers installed by Windows, things like OpenGL, OpenCL, CAL and CUDA are disabled. This is because Microsoft has their own versions of each (DirectX, Direct Compute) and they're not thrilled at releasing drivers with open source components. So you will need to go to the website of the manufacturer of the graphics processor unit (GPU) on your videocard to get their drivers and install those to enable these parts. To determine what kind of GPU you have, do Start->All Programs->Accessories->Command Prompt, in the window that opens type dxdiag and press Enter. Go to the Display tab and check what it says for Name for the Device. Then based on that get the latest drivers from either: ATI/AMD Nvidia Intel If completely confused, tell us what kind of videocard you have and someone here will point out the correct drivers. |
