Well I have used the wifes hair dryer to dry the water out of the outside electrical sockets after a hard wind driven rain. And yes they have covers, But an east wind still trips the GFI.

I use ours to help defrost the fridge!

I have an industrial hair dryer. It's called a paint stripper.

I use mine sometimes to dry a painting when I want to paint over it.
