I upgraded my GPU's and now have no sound. Went from GTX 465 to 560. My pc connects to a Phillips tv, DVI to HDMI. I have a Logitech usb headset. My pc connects to a stereo receiver, all analog. I have no sound from either of them. I have always used the onboard realtech audio for sound. I am running Windows 7 64bit. Nothing has changed other than the GPU's. Any ideas..? |

I just realized after unplugging analog audio to stereo receiver that my TV and USB headset now have sound, making me think that the onboard realtech is the problem. |

You should check to see if you have 2 different sound drivers arguing with each other. An older one for the Realtek and the new one you installed with the new GPU. |

I've had that problem. The problem is that the GFX drivers hogs all the audio to use for the HDMI. But I can't remember what I did to resolve the problem... I might have reinstalled the on-board audio drivers and/or disabled the audio in the GFX driver. I wasn't going to use the HDMI, so I didn't have to take HDMI audio into consideration. |
