I do not believe it is up to SETI@Home to provide a private forum where people can discuss anything and say what they like.

This is not part of what SETI@Home is about.

If there are enough of you that want this it would be very easy to set up your own forum and invite people to join.

Please not here. With some of the post I have seen recently I do not even think the Politics forum should be hosted here at all!

The bottom line here is that we're all adults. Let's use our best judgment when posting, and try to show our complexity through mastery of our native language. I think you'll find that if you do that, you won't have a need to use cussing or swearing to get your point across.

Suggestion the "kid friendly" in the rules box on the left might be changed to PG-13 or reference it. Some might interpret it to mean the same "kid friendly" as the FCC does for broadcast TV which is considerably more restrictive.

And to clarify.......
My kids are who I wish them to be.
No biological thingys here.

YOU are my children.
And I wish to pass on to you what I have learned in this fleeting life.
And sometimes, that requires a bit of pain on your part.

That's what life is ABOUT, kids.
That's what life is about.

I carry on about this and that and THAT's what I sometimes need to tell you.

When I give you my little bits of life, that's what it's about.

My life.......I share some of it with you.
Some things, I cannot. Some, you wish I hadn't.....
I give you at times, my accumulated wisdom.
Or lack of same. My treasured music. My kitty stories........

I am not going to be here forever to share these things with you.

All those moments will be lost in time when I go.
