Hello, I found the recent WU http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/result.php?resultid=2705685571 According to seti the WU is a vlar that is currently being calculated with one of my hosts. Now, currently there is no CPU vlar WU uncalculated in my Task que. So what is going on? There are several CPU tasks according to SETI, but I don't currently have them uncalculated or even unreported on my computer for that matter either. |

That WU is commonly referred to as a Ghost - S@H thinks it sent it to you, but for whatever reason it never arrived. There are a lot of them around just now, and the only thing you can do is wait for it to expire when it will go onto another cruncher. Hello, As Rob said, it's a ghost, and I guess many of the 4117 "In progress" tasks listed for that host are in the same state where the scheduler reply didn't get to your computer. Being a VLAR, since the host has a 680 and a 670 what will almost certainly happen when the Scheduler gets to that point in the "lost" tasks is it will be expired (marked as missing deadline) at that time. That's because the Scheduler normally tries to fulfill the GPU work request first. OTOH, you could get lucky and have the host only asking for CPU at the right time. Whatever happens, I'm confident it will happen before the December 26 deadline now shown for the task. Joe |
