Mark, please just ease off, no one wants to disagree with you. We all wish you well.------------You are mind friend........ But, 'ease off' from what, exactly? My reality? Yours? Or just to try not offend anybody in any place? That does not work for me. My party or lack of same just lost the last election,, if you did not notice. And that, grieves me dearly. Not because me party lost and I am reaping sour grapes.? Or more because I weep for my country? Now, what is it that nobody wants to disagree with me about? Come back, red rider. ____________ ****** "Ask not, what your kitty can do for you. Ask what you can do for your kitty." As it is kitten, so shall it be done.

Mark, please just ease off, no one wants to disagree with you. We all wish you well.------------You are mind friend........ That's just cause Republicans chased away too many voters and cause Democrats ran a better ground game to get voters. Carville: GOP routed by reality In short the GOP stepped on way too many toes, reality bites. ____________ BSG Anthem My Facebook page

Oh, this is sooooooooooo going to get moved to Politics, but still I feel compelled to respond. People should vote for what's in their best interests,... I am determined to vote AGAINST what is in my personal best interest, when in comes to securing a better life for others. Eric and I were never lucky enough to have children. Should I vote AGAINST taxes that might benefit public education? That would benefit me. The lucky birth lotto happened to place me in a stable and comfortably resourced family. Should I then favor policies and politicians who work to eliminate inheritance taxes? That would benefit me. I was fortunate to have been born to parents who were highly educated, who valued education and who worked hard to fully finance the college and graduate studies of me and my three siblings. Should I sail blithely though life thinking that people can succeed in this country without the many social, cultural and financial "hands-up" I have enjoyed? Shouldn't I rather put my money and my votes towards trying to level the playing field in this country? Would you have me change parties, my friend? As I walk through life, I hope to promote social justice through my words, through my actions and through my votes.

And the thingy is, neither does she/. She came out for a USO show when I was in Kyrgyzstan. I saw her scraping sweat off her neck with her finger nail and flinging it out into the audience. All them good soldier boys, they had their mouths open and their toungues out in hopes of catching a drop or two of her sweat. I, too, catguy, am baffled. I'm literally speechless about the current state of the human condition. I spent several years living in several other areas of the world and each time I got off the plane on American soil, I wanted to get down on all fours and kiss the ground because I know what we have here. Yet, I look around, I hear what people say, I see what people do and I'm perplexed. The American people don't know what they have. They don't know where we came from. They don't realize how good they have it. And, try as I might, I can't seem to get across what I've seen, lived, witnessed, heard, felt, experienced in other parts of the world and how getting federal assistance because you're living at some multiple of some arbitrary poverty level set by someone currently making almost 1/5th of a million dollars a year is not that bad at all. This last election threw me over the cliff. I see no return to the traditional values that made this country what it is. All I see are a bunch of children screaming they need the latest X-Box and if they don't get it, they're going to throw a temper tantrum and at least 1/3 the country saying, "aw, let's give them a new X-Box." I don't see a solution. What's the solution? Education. Again, I don't see the solution. When someone sticks their fingers in their ears and yells out, "LA LA LA LA LA LA I'M NOT LISTENING TO YOU! WHERE'S MY NEW X-BOX!?" the only thing I can think to do is buy them a new X-Box, a six-pack of energy drinks, a free house, an EBT card and free electricity. The only solution I see is to go ahead and let the democrats do what ever they want to do. 90% tax bracket? Sure. Let's do it. And then plan for myself. Or, shorter version: You're not alone.
