Einstein will not be up and running until early next year. No one has an account yet.

PoorBoy,
Dont want to give up my account, but if you really want to try it i will let you borrow my acct id, i could use the help lol

Since we are in alpha test, Bruce Allen said he was going to make the wu's about
5 to 10 times as large to cut down on the server load. Projected to happen in the next couple of weeks or so.

My computers takes 45-50 min to process a Einstien wu.
Still in Alpha testing.

Here is what he said

Wow -- this is very useful feedback for me!

Based on this discussion I think I will start planning workunits that are five to ten times longer than the current ones. This should allow most users to at least complete a workunit per day and get credit reasonably quickly.

In the long-term, perhaps we can make this a 'project preference' but for the moment it's not feasible: I need to keep things as simple as possible from an administrative point of view!

Cheers,
Bruce

No problem, I thought I'd just ask and see if somebody wanted to give theirs up if they are not going to run any WU's, I missed out on the first 1000 Accounts over at the LHC Site and picked an Account up this way because somebody had one and discovered they couldn't run the WU's on their Computer... Thanks anyway ... :)

@ Everyone that says they have an Einstein@Home account....

If Einstein@Home is up and running it is in alpha state. I do not want to be an alpha tester nor a beta tester for that matter. I'm not in this to test the software, I'm in this for the science. I want to do the "real" work when they are ready.

I went to the site where I signed up to be notified when they were ready and there is nothing there about getting an account and running WUs. I have not received any notification that they are assigning accounts. When I get the notification, which will be sometime early next year, I will start my crunching. Until then, I will continue to check their site and run the 3 projects I am running now.
