I predict, with sadness, another civil war in the states. It's not a question of 'if'...... It's a question of when. Hopefully after my passing. The truth be told, government has gotten too big for it's britches. And that is EXACTLY why this country came to be in the first place. They can't hold us all off forever. The countryfolk are getting pissed off. I mean, REALLY pissed off. No tea party here./ It IS gonna happen unless by some wonder of nature the government backs off. I don't see that happening.....too much money in too many pockets are being padded. You might see me as an alarmist........and an idiot. But, I assure you, the bulk of the American taxpayers are no longer alarmists or idiots. And their ire is rapidly rising to the level of revolt. Mark my words, friends. Mark my words. Hey, Demonoistra, I plan on being here. Kitties blazing and saddle sore from riding my high horse all this time. Romnifigrant shall figure prominently in my new dreams. Whist Obummer fades off like just another bad sunset after a dark and stormy day. Hey, my thread, my dream. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Hey, Demonoistra, I plan on being here. And then after a year you wake up and find Mitt did win, but also find he presides just as he governed in Mass and there has been no change just a slight tweek to the policies that Oba introduced. |

Hey, Demonoistra, I plan on being here. The most likely scenario. Unless he ends up taking the US into yet another war, and from what I understand of Romney's policies that might even be against Russia. The real big worry is that he will get to chose a new supreme court judge, making crazy decisions such as citizen's united more likely. Good luck America. Reality Internet Personality |

1 year ago, I would have said, no, it'd be another revolutionary war, as we realize these two sides are false and in cahoots. But, either that is wrong or many are too blind to see that. So, civil it will probably be, and it will be the producers, not those who THINK they produce. The non-producing, of course, will sit it out, as always. |

Actually, given the likely make up of the Senate -- as Justices choose to leave the court, we'll find we have fewer members on the Court -- this will be an area where appointments can be held up for a VERY long time.

Not to worry, if the Mittster wins, and chooses to channel 'severe conservative Mitt', then the Democrats in the Senate will, having learned the political effectiveness of obstruction and that the President and his party take the blame when nothing gets done, play the obstructionist card in the Senate. If the Mittster chooses to channel the 'moderate Mitt', then he'll face obstruction from his boys in the House. Hey, Demonoistra, I plan on being here. |

It would be a lot better if you all write your congressman/senator & demand that the Rep's/Dem's B/S ends & do what's best for America rather than their own pockets or ego's! |

Perhaps we don't give the voters enough due. By keeping the country equally divided no spending or tax bills can get passed. That may be a good thing. |

Gary, except by fostering division we do get 'new' taxes -- a return to the Clinton era tax levels when we must have been rollicking in a severe depression if the current Republican screeds about taxes have merit. We also get sequestration and since (again if we believe the current Republican screeds) military spending is far more important than consumer spending, that too will result in a depression. Curious that sequestration would bring military spending to about the 2008 levels.... |

Curious that sequestration would bring military spending to about the 2008 levels.... Wonder if that level Obama will have to obey his own campaign pledge and get us out of the war ... |

You don't expect him to do that in 2014? Of course with Romney, we'd be engaged in Syria, Egypt and Iran... He could fund it by eliminating Medicaid. Curious that sequestration would bring military spending to about the 2008 levels.... |
