I know, it's sappy. But I was drawn into it by Lori..... No excuses.....I love Twilight. We re watched the first two last weekend as a refresher for the coming debut of the final sequence. Bella is now a vampire, the war between the 'righteous' vampires and the Volturi is going to be the battle scene. Bella is soooooooooo beautiful as a vampire. Meeeeeeeeeow! Watched 'Eclipse' and 'Breaking Dawn part 1' tonight with Lori. So we're all refreshed and ready for the finale, 'Breaking Dawn part 2'. Opens next Friday, the 16th. Rumor is, they've added a twist ending that not even those who have read all of the books shall be able to predict. Dunno if we'll see it the premier weekend or not.....it'll be simply mobbed. Must admit, I have been quite taken in by the series since Lori had me watch the first one with her. Quite looking forward to seeing the final installment. Yeah, right. Not one. You.........don't know who Esmee is then. You don't know what is like, going to happen to my favorite character, She lives. The Volturi want the daughter of a mating they have never witnessed. The Volturi are evil. I wish them vanquished. Jake has imprinted on Renesme. In the last few squesnces of the 3rd movie, Jacob, who loves Bella but cannot have her ever, imprints on the child. I cannot tell you mpree/is where the last episode ends. What I cannot tell you is what happens to Bella............. I am sure you can look it up online but I won't be the spoiler, My bet, bittersweet. I can see it. How else could it end? Bella is now a vampire......... And she witnesses This has enourmous consequences. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

This is Stephenie Meyer's home page. If none of you are Twihards, you still might like to peruse her story about how it all came to be. It is a good read. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I am surprised, actually, that I don't see more fans of the series here. Vampire tales are not that distant from sci-fi, really. Just a different genre. They all rely in the 'suspension of disbelief', something that I am sure you all know I am very good at. Most of you are too, at times. It takes just a simple walk across the line to go from Farenheit 451 by Bradbury to Twilight by Meyer. They are both fantasies. Or, maybe not so....... You see, both Meyer and myself are rather good at keeping you guessing where the line is between fact and fiction. I even fool myself sometimes. Now, before I bite the kitties........... You should.....and fast, or the kitties will catch you.........And I cxannot attest to what they might do then. I think it's best if you flee. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Edward does shine in the sunlight. I notice a bit of a twinkle when I get up in the morning..... Ya know, I always wondered what that was about. Or why the kitties seem soo enticing at times. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I liked the movies and Im waiting the last one. But I like almost anything that is sci-fi or fantasy or is close enough... To be honest the argument become much more interesting in the 4th movie, the previous ones were... well... just a light entertainment... Of course, I tried hard to forget that thing about shiny vampires glowing at sunlight... thats against every known fact about vampires!! ;D Love story? nah... There was more love and drama between Buffy and Angel (or even Spike) than between Bella, Edward and Jake... (in any combination :b) |

Oh gawd. Twilight. Gag. No, seriously, as a man with a woman in the house (my wifey), I of course have had to see all of those movies. I do not regret not reading the books. :-0 #resist |

Oh gawd. Twilight. Gag. We probably shouldn't be dissing Twilight in Mark's thread but if you are looking for a really good vampire-love story that both you and the lady of the house would enjoy, I'd recommend Underworld. (The first one, the second and third ones sucked and I couldn't bring myself to watch the fourth.) Anyway, it is basically 'Romeo and Juliet' with vampires and werewolves instead of Montague's and Capulet's, and a slightly less depressing ending. Lori and myself went to see Breaking Dawn Part 2 this afternoon. Simply awesome. The best one in the series. If you like the series and have come to love the characters, the surprise ending will have you tied in knots. Lori had read all the books, I had not. And neither of us knew what was going to happen as the ending unfolded. And Bella makes one fantastic looking vampire. Loved it! Will probably go see it again. By now, all who were interested have seen it..........some of us, several times. Those of you not imbued with the experience........do so now. It gets better with age and experience. I have many years before this age of computers to share. You cannot imagine the change.I did, I just did not know how soon. or who I am. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting."
