I never had Boccoli until I got to the States. Some foods were just not available at the time. Like peanut butter. I had to send my Mom some, plus Taco fixings, which she discovered on her first visit here. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

I never had Pizza until about 1971 on a trip north, going up the peninsula, past Grants Pass Ore(Beefalo Burgers near Mt Mazama), made it all the way to Portland Ore and into Washington state before heading home... Dad mentioned that I should have an open mind and not reject something I've never had before, this was in context with food, I've kept that ever since... I've even tried Chinese food, Southern Fried Chicken, Mexican, heck I've even grown some of My own food in the past, from seed no less... Hehe, just an English play on words ...... you're a quick learner :-) I was thinking that you meant the mussels took their breaks in the pot... BOINC WIKI |

Another thing my kids really don't like are mussels and I love them. I sometimes cook them when they're away for the weekend. Oh Julie I love them too, A big bowl for me thanks. :) |

I'll pass, I don't like boiling anything that's alive to death just to eat it, lobster and crabs comes to mind... The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Another one that is very good is Buffalo meat, very lean and if cooked right sooooo good. The Indians were not wrong on that one. |

We get a lot of farm raised buffalo here in the (Canadian) deep south, which is quite nice. The wild stuff can be a little dry, and has a VERY strong flavour. Interesting, but not every day please. Same with musk ox (which is still all wild as far as I know). I find about one musk ox burger per decade to be interesting. Any more would be overwhelming. A little Canadian humour, added in edit: the Indians deeply regret the passing of the buffalo, and they say they won't be in the chips again till they come back. |

To paraphrase W.C Fields and Will Rogers at the same time: I tried Beefalo down in OK back in the 70's which wasn't bad either. A cross of Beef and Bison. Beefalo can withstand conditions like Bison do. |

It's been about 42 years, I only had one once, it was good, that much I do remember. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

What I'd eaten was Beefalo, not quite the same as it's a hybrid, between beef and bison, as only water buffalo are buffalo and there are no water buffalo in the US outside of some zoos maybe, as their not native to North America.
