I want a new religion
One that won’t make me sick
One that won’t make me crash my car
Or make me feel three feet thick

I want a new religion
One that won’t hurt my head
One that won’t make my mouth too dry
Or make my eyes too red

I want a new religion
One that won’t go away
One that won’t keep me up all night
One that won’t make me sleep all day

I want a new religion
One that does what it should
One that won’t make me feel too bad
One that won’t make me feel too good

I want a new religion
One with no doubt
One that won’t make me talk too much
Or make my face break out

One that won’t make me nervous
Wondering what to do
One that makes me feel like I feel when I’m with you
When I’m alone with you

Imagine there's no heaven,
It's easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
living for today...

Imagine there's no countries,
It isnt hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace...

Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say Im a dreamer,
but Im not the only one,
I hope some day you'll join us,
And the world will live as one.

When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness
She is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

And when the broken hearted people
Living in the world agree,
There will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is
Still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be. Yeah
There will be an answer, let it be.

And when the night is cloudy,
There is still a light that shines on me,
Shine on until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
Let it be, let it be.
There will be an answer, let it be.
Let it be, let it be,
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

The two pillars of a new religion: Let it Be and Imagine
Please, take note that the concept is what matters. If anyone follows the new religion don´t begin to quote separate parts of the songs and try to explain them to us.
ie: "Nothing to kill or die for". I´m sure Wordweaver would explain this as follows: to kill "for", but what if you kill for nothing? what if you kill without a reason? eh? I think this words encourage their followers to kill with no reason or, at least, by accident.
hehe

Luca-
O those Beatle guys- better living through chemistry.
Let it be sounds to me like a Jerry Garcia (bless his name) psychedelic visionary tale (who's Mother Mary?)
And Imagine sounds like something Christ would sing about a futuristic utopia fantasy.
Using a piece of music as a basis for a religion is a novel idea but you've got to remember that there's lots of people who will go through the roof when some wayward believer takes it up a fourth and hears it over a salsa beat.
Yikes- Heresy!
Music indeed expresses spirit but should "Spirit" start to express music - well, here we go again:
'You will play it in B flat or you will burn, baby, burn.'
The church in early times issued an edict regarding use of the interval of the tri-tone ie. flat 5th (c-f#) -
That sucker was a no &a no &a no no no- they called it 'The Devil's Mode'
Music has a place in worship but I dont believe the opposite works much good...cc

Yes Carl, perhaps you´re right. Hope not.
In case you are, maybe they put a laser in the iPods and so it became the KKK new gun: lasering everybody who´s not listening Let it Be or Imagine.
That´s why I wrote about interpretation...I hope they read it.

Please tell if it´s my fault because I haven´t read to much in this board or you really don´t post extenses thoughts.

Always? If its something small like that its probably humor related. If you wanted to read "long" posts you'd have to go back thru to the original religious and political threads, or you could even read thru the Flame thread.
