install the program on ubuntu 10.04, but when I run the command
$boinccmd --lookup_account http://setiathome.berkeley.edu mymail mypass
$poll status: operation in progress
$poll status: operation in progress
$poll status: operation in progress
$..
$..
$poll status: connect () failed

I should check?

a common problem is setting permissions on the BOINC folder and files.
