Message 1334611 - Posted: 4 Feb 2013, 16:28:48 UTC - in response to Message 1334333.

Tomorrow evening on "PICK TV" here in the UK

7:00 pm Star Trek: Enterprise
Season 4 Episode 1 of 22
Storm Front - Part One Part one of two. The crew is trapped in an alternative version of the year 1944, in which the Allies are losing the Second World War and the Nazis have employed the help of aliens to invade the US. Starring Scott Bakula and Jolene Blalock

8:00PM Stargate SG-1
Season 3 Episode 22 of 22
Nemesis Part one of two. A terrifying new creature that not even the Asgard can control threatens Earth, meaning O'Neill has to try to save the planet as well as the team. With Richard Dean Anderson

Would you believe the channel that shows the most Trek, at least on my cable, is BBC America?

I really wish SyFy would show Stargate Atlantis again, from the beginning, not skipping anything.

That sheep shot struck me as funny in light of Eric's annual big shearing event yesterday. Eric shaves after the Superbowl every year. He goes clean-shaven through the spring and summer. As soon as college football starts, he starts growing his beard again. He claims that each year he is surprised at how much gray has come in, but I still see mostly brown and red in his beard. (I will not be happy until "the Santa-fication" is complete!)

Grey hair has its charm I think. I'm starting to develop grey hairs here and there already too...

I just need the white hair and the costume I'm told and I'd almost look like Santa Claus, not that I want to that is.

Actually, Eric has lost quite a bit of weight lately. He started out doing it correctly with a rule of "no potatoes at lunch". This eliminated French fries (aka "chips"), chips (aka "crisps") and hash browns when he went out to eat with colleagues or brought in a lunch. He was losing weight slowly and in a healthy fashion until super stress from another project hit, and suddenly he is all skin and bones! It is terrible, and a bad reflection on my cooking, I say!!!

LOL Angela. Fair play to Eric though. I'm dieting too. I already have lots of stress in my life though and it's not helping me lose weight!

Stress affect different people's weight in different ways. For most people a sudden spike in stress levels causes weight loss, but for a few they put on weight.
A sudden reduction in stress level will often trigger a short lived weight loss, followed by a gradual weight gain.
All this assuming there is no other change in diet or lifestyle.

I overeat when I'm stressed, or not stressed, or when I'm bored.

A teacher once told me find the one thing you can do, and do it well.
