You threw me with the every fall comment. You only drink win in the fall? I believe Bill was referring to the canning wrench in that comment. This has turned into quite a fun thread! |

I have one of those. It's worthless. IMHO Not to whoever invented that cheap thing, a good mixer would cost more and do the job right. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

The idea of the thing is to mix in the pan, or pot while the food is cooking. I saw the development of the thing. Original was shorter and did ok in sauce pans. But the production unit was made taller to work in soup pots. Now it falls over in sauce pans and I make my soups too think for it to work. |

I have used one of these for over 25 years and it is still going strong. Not sure if my Mom still has hers, but it did it's duty for the time I was around. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

LOL Julie, we are taking about soups. like potato or carrot. To make a smoothie, I will use my regular blender and it is about the same age. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

You wrap waffle cookies around it to make ice cream cones. It can also be used in a chinoise (a cone shaped strainer) to push foods through the strainer. |
