What annoys me the most is that the govenment are trying to reduce alcohol accidents & abuse to ease pressure on the NHS......

...Really? In that case shoot the muppets that changed the drinking laws to 24hr availability!

Doubt it would make any difference. Its been several years since they made it an offence to drink on a public street.

Smack bang next door to me is a college campus which has finished upgrading - They've added a "cop shop" to the site as well as a pub.

Cop cars as well as foot patrols entering & exiting regular as clockwork - muppets on streets drinking - anything done?

I'll let you guess.

Had a "night out" run a week ago, on the way home, I was drinking a diet coke on the A1 just before Hatfield & get stopped by PC Plod - they thought I was drinking beer....

...makes one wonder!

Saw something like that with the local chipies. Driver there realized the chipie was giving him the evil eye and turned the can so the label could be read. Got a friendly wave back. At night?

Driving a 17 tonner, no passengers, vehicle fully roadworthy - I don't take them on the road if they're not - I worked hard for my HGV & don't intend to lose it for something stupid.

Window was open with arm & can of coke resting on it........

So you tell me......

Hmmnn,interesting....

...not the report but your post. I've often stated that in my posts & get labelled with several comments regarding my avatar.

So you agree then that in stating you hope that the Sun wins the case, that "pleb" Mitchell is indeed a muppet which only confirms the country's views of our current mop of politicians.

You've got your work cut out for yourself!

All makes sense. Bank employees who increase the banks profits get a bonus.
The Greenies increase the Governments tax take via green tax's so they get a
bonus too. I'm on this band wagon too now, I'm going to write to the Chancellor
and suggest that he can increase his tax take by upping VAT by one percent. If
he accepts this proposal then I should be on a potential bonus of several million
quid......wish me luck!!!

One strelth tax all Gordon Brown missed, and so has Osborne is to charge Road Tax on all and any caravan that is towed. After all Motorhomes are Road Taxed.

I would charge a Road Tax rate the same as the car used to tow the caravan.

That should raise Osborne at least £500 million ($775milion ....

Oy "Slippery Duvet Dave", you're constantly banging on about reforming the govenment & country.......

...nice ideas........however........

Royal Marines to patrol Boat Race.....shouldn't that be done by the River Police, or are too scared they might sue for getting too wet?

Call Police? You're joking if we're gonna pay £50k

I think they have already jumped on the caravaners now by adding VAT to caravan
sales.
