Message 1323701 - Posted: 2 Jan 2013, 18:58:21 UTC - in response to Message 1323544.

In an earlier statement & televised via Letterman, you stated that 1 million new jobs had been created - you forgot to mention that 87% of those were part time jobs of 10 hours or less - so another good "deal" for Britain then del-boy.......
Can you point me at those figures? They seem somewhat different to the information that I have. If they are correct then yes, it does put a different interpretation upon the matter.

I believe it was Panorama that highlighted that, as well as pointing out that the Civil Service were witholding their own vacancies from showing up on the system. Not one of the CS staff that were interviewed explained that sufficiently to avoid being tagged as "keeping the jobs for their own".

What's the matter Taffy? Hit home did it?
However I am basically English, and proud of it, and I think I'm a better ambassador for my country than you'll ever be for yours.

You stop the social engineering & Ill stop calling you Taffy. BTW, it was the English that named us Jocks, Taffy's & Paddy's with their constant jokes regarding other nationalities & you don't like it up you when the shoe is on the other foot....

..nothing new then from the English ambassadors.

"Quite what links you have to Canada we will await with baited breath to learn."

However there is an Irish connection in the past. I went to Ireland a couple of years ago, and discovered that my Great Great Grandfather on my paternal side, was a lay preacher in County Mayo in the 1830's, before later settling in England. Whilst there we went down south from Mayo to Galway.

I'm waiting with bated breath to know the reason why you want personal info.

OK I withdraw the question. Not interested anymore. Can we move on please.

That only works when the questions are verbal.

It seems that successive governments always seem to hit "captive markets". For years they've been trying to reduce traffic on our roads & seduce us all into using public transport......

.....& this is the results!

We have figured it out in the US the carrying wait of 1 doctor is 27 McDonald's

employees so as long as we graduate 1 doctor for every 27 people full employment.

It's absolutely sad that those that show/speak about their concerns for this country are either ignored/ridiculed or worse, classed as a racist by muppets in ivory towers......

Immigrant's grand daughter speaks out

..... just take a look at her grandparents.... They didn't take without giving anything back & had they done so, they deserved to as they fought for this country!

It's absolutely despairing when all the natives can do is knock down the ones showing concern.

It's definitely time to shut the gates & tell the muppets, both in London & Brussels to *O & that they are going to get sweet FA in the future!

Africa as a continent has sucked in many over the centuries & it seems it will continue to do so.....

Del-boy arrives in Algeria for talks

....."The UK is to send 330 military personnel to Mali and west Africa to support French forces battling Islamist militants. Critics have warned of "mission creep". Isn't this exactly what happened with the Americans in Vietnam?

The deployment will include as many as 40 military advisers in Mali and 200 British soldiers in neighbouring African countries, to help train the Malian army" - Really? I thought Mali was just one country of many in Africa? Just what are you up to Del-boy?

Now a question for Sir Humphrey, but 1st, a recap to lead into that question.....

I'm giving no credit at all to the morons that read the dailys and believe every word!

Do you really think Cameron will give it to us in 2015?

Yep because by then we would probably be out anyway or just about to be.

So can you give an answer to that belief, seeing as how Del-boy has pushed it back to 2017?

So, how would you describe this years posts of yours, constantly calling the democratically elected government a bunch of muppets, with their noses in the trough?

Fair point, so you won't mind if I stop calling them Muppets but Billy Liar's instead.

We want to stand with you, says Billy Liar

Really Billy? Then explain this......

Brits urged to leave Benghazi

....and this.....

Billy to keep Defence equipment spending pledge

Why Billy? there'll be no manpower to use it so why waste the money!

He'd better extend his vacation then as there are many more questions to answer.

West Coast Fiasco caused by "Major Failures"

The Answer according to the Gospel of Parliament: -

"The fiasco over the collapse of the West Coast Main Line franchise deal was the result of "irresponsible decisions", an MPs' committee has said.

The transport committee blamed "major failures" at the Department for Transport (DfT) and the civil service."

"Embarking on an ambitious - perhaps unachievable - reform of franchising, in haste, on the UK's most complex piece of railway, was an irresponsible decision for which ministers were ultimately responsible.

"This was compounded by major failures by civil servants, some of whom misled ministers."

In the report, Ms Ellman said: "Many of the problems with the franchise competition, detailed in the Laidlaw report, reflect very badly on civil servants at the DfT.

"However, ministers approved a complex - perhaps unworkable - franchising policy at the same time as overseeing major cuts to the department's resources. This was a recipe for failure which the DfT must learn from urgently."

I'm not so sure that the Minister, wisely, would wish to answer questions
regarding rail franchising. This would be outside his field of expertise.

Brussels is currently construction legislation to force all ECM countries to
privatise all their railways....will we see more fiascos to come in the
near future?

Providing he lets off a few well deserved expletives directed at Brussels
whilst over there then he's going to be worth the salary just for that!!

Unfortunately, as European Commissioner it does look like he's going to
be another Euro poodle there. He does feel though that Europe has become
over-regulated... careful me'boy don't start stepping out of line now.
