Me I'm for the moment sticking with 301.24, why? I think I'm having a hardware problem, from what I read elsewhere the P55 chipset seems to have trouble running 4 dimms and yep I have 4 dimms installed on My Asus P7P55D Pro and I have the 2003 Bios, which is about 2 years old and is the last one for this discontinued 1156 motherboard, since Corsair said My motherboard can handle 32GB, so asap I'm going to get two 8GB G.Skill Ripjaws X 1600 Blue Dimms as the Blue Dimms use similar timing to what I have now, which are 4 Ripjaws X 1333 Red Dimms that are running at 1339.6MHz, the i5 750 cpu is one notch above stock on voltage and the ram is set at 1.58v, I've set ram up to 1.65v in the past to no effect. The trouble I get is video driver crashes when running 4 Dimms, but not with 2, I get less crashes with 301.24 under Win7 Pro x64, Boinc 6.10.58 x64, BoincTasks 1.42 and x41u(I don't have x41z as that's still Beta I gather, I'll wait) than with newer drivers and I've tried them all from 301.42 to 306.97... Also the main problem is that when the driver crashes the fan speed on the GTX590 drops from 100%(I do not mean 95%, My bios allows 100%) to some speed that the driver thinks is ok, I'm running Afterburner 2.2.4 of course. | |
