The article says;
"About 19.6 percent of Americans say they are “nothing in particular,” agnostic or atheist, up from about 8 percent in 1990."

So thats about 20% of Americans that don't believe in God or religion.

I think it will get a lot worse over the next few years. More and more people will turn away from God and religion. Separation of church and state seems to be a trend that is growing worldwide.

There is a really big shock on the way. The whole world is being deceived. Its going to be the most shocking set of events in all of human history. Just wait, won't be too long more, just a few years away. And the whole world will weep! And nobody sees it coming! But its coming hard and fast, like a freight train heading for a brick wall.

John.

Chris,
Ok, i will clarify the problem with putting a date on the return of the Messiah, and the end of the era/world. And no, the world will not blow up, but things will change very soon!

The Bible does not give a date, it just says that Jesus will return at some stage, so its completely open ended. So Jesus could return next week, or it could be a million years time. More specifically, i can't remember which chapter, but the book of Matthew specifically says that "No man shall know the time or date of the return of the Messiah". The Book of Revelation pretty much says the same thing, that nobody will know the precise date!

BUT!! All the biblical books say that believers in God can know roughly when Jesus is about to return. The whole Book of Revelation is dedicated to this topic. And the Book of Daniel is the same. These books list out a sequence of events that MUST happen, in sequence, before Jesus returns.

This is the interesting bit;
Now practically all the priests, preachers and biblical scholars all agree that we are very near the end of the sequence of events. But its hard to say exactly where in the sequence we are. The Book of Revelation is heavily coded, so this makes it difficult to say how close we are. But they all agree we are very close, possibly within a few years, or 10 to 20 years tops.

Now for my personal bit Chris;
I have information that none of the priests, preachers and biblical scholars have. I'm ahead of them all. Chris you have been following what i am doing and you know about the "old book" or "old books". But i'm the only one who knows what the old books are, and i'm the only one that is close to decoding them. Nobody else except the people on this forum know what i'm doing. And most people here don't trust me anyway. Nobody here believes me, and i don't blame them.

But either way, i have the old books, and Jesus is not going to return until, as the Book of Revelation says, "the books will be opened". I have the books, and nobody knows it except me. I don't want to blow my own trumpet here, but everyone is waiting for me cos i'm the one with the books. But they are real difficult to decode, its taking me a long time. Its very difficult.

So Chris nobody knows the exact date, but in all probability, it will be in the next few years. Just as soon as i get the books decoded.

Its a matter of faith if you believe me or not about what i am doing. If i was you, i wouldn't believe me. I well understand anyone not believing me because what i am saying sounds like pure science fiction. But so is the whole religious world. The whole world has been obsessed with God, Allah, Buddha, Jesus and all the rest of them for the last 6,000 years. So who is the lunatic here? All the billions of people who pray to a God they can't see? Or me? And all these Gods left and said they would return. I'm just some bloke who stumbled across these "old books" by accident. I didn't ask for this, it just happened.

John.

secular society? We have always been a mix of religions, including NO religions. And people have always been unhappy we have not been following THEIR
view. I do not see it stopping any time soon.

We have made some terrible decisions when religion has intruded on our government.

So, the founding of The United States of America was a terrible decision.

Got it.

Yep, had they remained a British colony, they might be in a better position than they currently are... :)

The founding of the united states with seperation from church and state was a good idea. They did it right, it is not a Xtian state.

Yes, the total and complete suppression of state religion was a fantastic decision. Unfortunately some tea idiots want to throw that away and invite sharia to rule the USA.

Could you be a little more specific? What crime under Sharia do you believe was being enforced?

She was speaking out against the Taliban, which was tying to curtail her education.

Indeed, and what's the crime committed by this act under Sharia law? Sirius suggested Sharia brings the "punishment", if true, then there must be a criminal activity under Sharia. Alternatively, the Taliban and its violent supporters are a bunch of thugs that care not a jot about Sharia, though, for reasons that are not clear, many news articles mention Sharia when reporting on the thugs.

Islam is not the only religion thugs use to justify outrageous behavior, there are Christian thugs too.

I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

Thank you for proving the point that the Tea idiots want sharia and are willing to force it upon everyone. Something about having guns to do that forcing in that screed calling for it. Yep, Tea idiots are demanding sharia. Of course theirs will be a slightly different set of rules than the Islamic sharia, but just an insane and just as wrong.
