	Sadly it is very difficult to sack councillors, you have to wait until they come round for re-election, or catch them "with their hands in the till". Many up for re-election next year and the rest in 2014. The 2013 United Kingdom local elections are due to take place on Thursday 2 May 2013. Elections will be held in 35 English councils, including all 27 non-metropolitan county councils, the 5 unitary authorities covering ceremonial counties, and 3 other unitary authorities, and to a single Welsh unitary authority. All registered electors (British, Irish, Commonwealth and European Union citizens) who are aged 18 or over on Thursday 2 May 2013 are entitled to vote in the local elections. Council elections

	Did you call the school meals by a name? I remember hot crumble and runny strawberry jam ... we called it sawdust and tapping oil! Heard another on the radio this morning - The school canteen did a sausage stew, where all the sausages were cut up nicely, the casserole made and placed in the oven to slow cook. The skins fall off, but that was OK. Then the children started to call it "condom stew!" ____________ It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues
