Installers have been temporarily removed pending resolution of some concerns related to the licensing. You have to wait until the problem is resolved. All other sites that mirror should have the same problems. Some legal issues with Intel software/libraries: You may NOT patch/edit or modify the binary in any way. In case you do so, you might be violating COPYRIGHTED parts of the binary generated by Intels Compiler and the IPP Libraries. (See Intels EULA) TThrottle Control your temperatures. Bumping this thread... How are the license negotiations going? Any idea on the time to completion (Perfectly selfish reason, I'm about to commission a new cruncher and I want to move as quickly as possible to using the Lunatics amazing product as I doubt the stock application will cause three GTX690s to break sweat) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that - it should work as both will have AMD cpus and the OS will be the same (or at least as any two installations of windoze will allow). Any DLLs I need to keep an eye out for? Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |

Hmm, I hadn't thought of that - it should work as both will have AMD cpus and the OS will be the same Well, since there is only one app for AMD, you have all you need. Any DLLs I need to keep an eye out for? If there are any in your SETI dir, you should take them with, I don't have any nVidia GPU, so can't tell you exactly. You can simply copy everything from your SETI dir except for the WUs of course. |

"Openly instigating license infringement, when there is an ongoing issue, is Not what we should be spreading on the board, is it?" This is the kittyman speaking. I have ALL the files. Every single one of them. Trash talk does not get you even one. No, I won't betray the Lunatics's trust. Why would I? Must be because I have some morals some do not. "Openly instigating license infringement, when there is an ongoing issue, is Not what we should be spreading on the board, is it?" Just who is "instigating license infringement"? I have seen nothing to prevent continuing use of the lunatics apps just cannot download them until the issue is resolved. I have had the installation files sitting in my downloads folder for ages, as has everyone else who uses them unless they deliberately deleted. No offers have been made to send the files on as far as I am aware. Where's the high moral issue guys? |

"Openly instigating license infringement, when there is an ongoing issue, is Not what we should be spreading on the board, is it?" Got a PM with a question about the LUNATICs V40 installer if I got one available?! Does not seem like a good idea to hand it to anyone at this moment, don't know what the exact problem is? Copyright?! |

The problem lies in some sort of conflict between the wording of the Intel license and the open source material. We can still use anything we have, but I've been advised that it is "not advisable" to distribute to others. My question about time to resolution still stands, but I guess with the way things are "its not going to be tomorrow". Fine Sten-Arne. I have no argument with that but perhaps a published smack on the wrist from the mods would/should have stopped this. Would have saved me some two finger typing anyway lol. |

Yes, a "marker post" saying post x has been hidden by a mod due to z reasons would go a long way towards explaining why threads tend to make no sense at all. Of course, that assumes the thread was making sense in the first place. (beat somebody to it) |

Basically there's a conflict in the Intel EULA and how previous applications were distributed in light of a misunderstanding in the EULA regarding Intel's IP and CR. To avoid potential issues the applications were taken down from distribution until the issues can be resolved. We should see a resolution soon, patience folks.
