Why does BOINC only use one of my nvidia video cards. I have a 680 gtx and a 465 gtx. It gets work units for the 680. It sees the 465 in the event log but says...

9/24/2012 11:55:45 AM | | NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce GTX 680 (driver version 306.23, CUDA version 5.0, compute capability 3.0, 2048MB, 8361590MB available, 3252 GFLOPS peak)
9/24/2012 11:55:45 AM | | NVIDIA GPU 1 (not used): GeForce GTX 465 (driver version 306.23, CUDA version 5.0, compute capability 2.0, 1024MB, 937MB available, 855 GFLOPS peak)

What am I doing wrong :)

Thanks

BOINC only uses the best GPU by default. To use the other GPUs, you have to make a cc_config.xml file and add into it:

<cc_config>
<options>
<use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus>
</options>
</cc_config>

Save it into your BOINC Data directory, when using Notepad save as all files, ANSI format. Else make sure that the extension is only .xml, not .txt as well as then the file isn't used.

Next exit BOINC & restart it. That will tell BOINC to use all the GPUs in the system.
