Hard to imagine but that's what would happen indeed. If the aliens were peaceful beings, they would do anything to avoid that I guess... There's no reason to suspect otherwise that aliens would be peaceful beings. It's only our natural ignorance that leads one to postulate that aliens may exist. Soon, no doubt, science will develope methods of detection that will permit us to see if there is alien life out in the universe or that there has been in the past. The chances though are pretty remote where long distances are concerned, we will need to break the light barrier and go out in search for our selves. At this point I don't think we're anywhere near getting over this light barrier problem. It could end up that no one can get over this problem and that super-fast space travel is an impossibility for all where ever you reside in the universe. ____________ The Kite Fliers -------------------- Kite fliers: An imaginary club of solo members, those who don't yet belong to a formal team so "fly their own kites" - as the saying goes.

One website indicates that the Milky Way Galaxy is "... about 13.2 billion years old". The Earth, about 4.5 billion years old. If any planets elsewhere in the galaxy formed earlier (i.e., there's still a few billion yeas to mess arounf with here), developed life, developed intelligent life, developed intelligent space-faring flight ... ? What's to stop them from making the long flights (tens of thousands of years) on inter-generational ships that have been postulated? And if that's the case, perhaps these far off or impossible technologies we're postulating would not even be needed.

And if that's the case, perhaps these far off or impossible technologies we're postulating would not even be needed. This makes the Milky Way as old as the whole of the universe? But does this mean that there are habitable planets contained within that are older than Earth. Inter-generation ships sounds nothing more than a museum in space and how could you maintain it's functionality over this incredible time period of 10,000 years. I don't think you could but then my knowledge on this is limited to what is known to be achievable under current scientific probability. Not until we ourselves make a scientific discovery that makes the afore gone possible, or even being able to break the light speed barrier, could we ever genuinely start to postulate that an advanced alien civilisation may at one time have had the possibilities to have visited earth. Until then I think alien visitations are to be treated as pure speculation bought about by our vivid imaginations that engross the futuristic potential yet to be realised through scientific discovery...Um, in other words, it's down to us being human as to why we think of aliens about us for some see science eventually taking us along the road to distant space travel hence we become aliens to possibly other life forms out in the universe, that is if there are any others out there....I'd like to think that there are others out there, but they are proving dam difficult to find...using our current technology at the moment ____________ The Kite Fliers -------------------- Kite fliers: An imaginary club of solo members, those who don't yet belong to a formal team so "fly their own kites" - as the saying goes.

Latest UFO news. An alien abduction must have been going on somewhere? Strange that the two much brighter lights that sometimes appear in the left hand screen he speedily takes the camera away from them....Hmm.!! these may have given us a clue as to what was really going on here.... skulduggery!!! ____________ The Kite Fliers -------------------- Kite fliers: An imaginary club of solo members, those who don't yet belong to a formal team so "fly their own kites" - as the saying goes.

If an alien abduction should exist, I don't think they would abduct you physically but rather your astral body.

If an alien abduction should exist, I don't think they would abduct you physically but rather your astral body. I don't believe in any of this astral stuff, all dreamt up by people with vivid imaginations trying to write and sell books with stuff they know can not be substantiated in any way..... literary fraudsters. ____________ The Kite Fliers -------------------- Kite fliers: An imaginary club of solo members, those who don't yet belong to a formal team so "fly their own kites" - as the saying goes.

Those people with a 'vivid imagination' certainly broadened their horizons I think. Providing of course the set horizon is realistically tangible in nature. ____________ The Kite Fliers -------------------- Kite fliers: An imaginary club of solo members, those who don't yet belong to a formal team so "fly their own kites" - as the saying goes.

Wow, you must be bothered by the noise of the airplanes, no? I have an aunt living near Brussels airport and sometimes her house is even shaking because of the passing planes. I spent part of my youth living on base at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida. That was when jets flaming out on takeoff happened more often than I care to think about. We lived in the second row of houses off the end of the runway and I can remember dishes shaking right off the shelves. More recently I lived about five miles north of Orlando International Airport in line with runway 36R and the only thing that bothered me was the film of jet fuel and soot that covered my car at night. I've seen a lot of lights in the sky at night but none I would attribute to alien spacecraft. ____________ Bob DeWoody

Saucer hovering over LA, Dec 5th Well, that one is blindingly obvious. It's nothing more than a cruise ship. Note how ALL "UFO" sightings are poor quality... Wondered why?... Next?! A cruise ship??

A cruise ship?? Take note of the context... Also as often is the case, it's dark and so you loose your frame of reference for distance... It's big and way away on the sea in the bay/ocean. Look carefully, you can even see the funnel (exhaust stack). Keep searchin', Martin ____________ Mandriva Linux A user friendly OS! See new freedom Mageia2 The Future is what We make IT (GPLv3)
