The Turin shroud has been examined and dated many times and the general consensus is that it is medieval. It is what it represents that is important, not so much the genuineness of it.

If a thing is not genuine, then surely it is not important for what it is supposed to represent.

people can believe what they want to, their choice.

My arguments are never to take away a person's choice in belief. My arguments are that facts and evidence are empirical to personal choice and interpretation. It doesn't matter what people believe the Shroud of Turin represents if in fact it does not, and the same goes for cave drawings of supposed alien spacecraft. They are both not proof or possible proof of the thing they are thought to be proof of.

If it's open to personal interpretation, then surely it cannot be used as possible evidence when there is no other corroborating evidence to support the claim.

In that regard, they are quite the same.

u be the judge?

On the night of Jan. 21, an Oregon citizen captured video of what he thought was a UFO. While we've offered many previous UFO videos, what makes this one especially interesting is that he got it in regular and night vision video.

I have a friend at work, Silke, she has a high position there and is very clever. One time she told me she lost consciousness one day and she woke up three months later without knowing what happened. She told me she was abducted by aliens at that time. I started laughing but she remained dead serious.
Personally I don't believe her body was kidnapped and certainly not by aliens. There is a spiritual world though, people. I think it has something to do with a force or entity or whatever you want to call it.
I think like a scientist, so everything needs empirical evidence for me but I do believe some people are more 'open' to the spiritual world than others. (Babies certainly are!)

As I stated weeks ago in this thread. A slewing searchlight on a cloud cover moves just about as fast as you like. If you were staring at two mountain tops far in the distance and a bug walked across your glasses you might also think that an abject was moving very quickly between the mountain tops.

I wear glasses and have noted that they can sometimes catch a stray bit of an image or light.

... It could be 3 days, 3 weeks, or 3 months, but you will know. ...

That is suitably vague that given enough time and superstition, you are bound to find something to fit the pattern.

No mysticism. Just a cheap easy con-trick.

Anyone for The Bible Code? There are enough random patterns in there that you can find anything and everything you might want...

Tarot is illogical, and it can't stand up to scientific investigation

Water drop on Lens, or a pure hoax. Any reputable observatory reporting this as well ?? I think Not. Apply logic and you can see that this is nonsense. Also, consider the source.

I'm 64 years old and I sure wish I had seen something like this. I had a friend who swore until his dying day that he saw a strange flying vehicle when he was in his 20s. But no one else was around to verify his sighting.

First the Phoenix light were over Luke AFB, OPFORs training was in operations with f16s and a10s. OPFORs training is confidential so they wont admit anything.Lets look at radars in this area. Luke AFB, civilian private aviation airfields with their own radar. Now for the Big stuff NORAD within range,Whitesands within range of their sophisticated radars. Deep Space radar a humming bird couldnt fly thru here without showing up.
Now as for aircraft you have F16s and A10s fully armed and fighter jocks that would love to flame someone. When OPFORs training the areas radars are informed of their operations. As for lights these aircraft had flares that were old and supposed to be used before landing.
The Lights: In a F16 there is a switch that drops flares at a timed sequence with a choice of 2/4/6 second intervals if you watch the video every two seconds a flare appears. I insist that Phoenix lights are flares. If anything did try to enter this airspace it wouldnt be unidentified it would be flaming wreckage. This area has so much radar that it doesnt make sense to be A UFO to try to test their capabilities.I would assume they are intelligent.
