Hey everyone, My main cruncher (Home), is only receiving GPU work. It is requesting CPU work, I have other machines that are receiving cpu units. Any ideas? |

Yes. BOINC wants to fill the GPU cache first at the expense of the CPU cache. IIRC this has something to do with the server code & it may get fixed one day. You can change your project setting(s) for Use ATI/NVIDIA GPU to no via your web settings. This will allow your machine to fill its CPU cache. Also lowering your cache setting should help prevent this from occurring in the future. This has been occurring for several people for some time. It might be time to make a sticky about this issue. As it seems to be asked quite often now. SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

Your cache settings are too high, the Server's scheduler will fill up the fastest device first, so eithier lower the settings until only the CPU asks for work, or Disable the GPU work fetch in the project preferences until your CPU cache is full, then re-enable GPU work fetch. Claggy |
