Mikayla is so crazy! I let her outside tonight to see if she will go to the bathroom, and she was tearing through the yard like someone fed her dog-nip. I called her back to me and she comes charging right toward me, never bothering to stop and slammed right into my legs. She proceeded to do this a second time and I just looked down at her, amused that she thinks I'm a roadblock to run into. She just looked up at me, tongue hanging out of her mouth and her tail wagging furiously.

It's a good thing she only weights 12/13 pounds. Maybe she was playing 'chicken' with me and I didn't move like I was supposed to.

I am so glad you found your kitty and that your new puppy is bring you both such joy.

Zsa Zsa is our best, most sneaky, hiding kitty. We have accidentally locked her in the bathroom and in closets before. Now, whenever we leave the house we do a "cat count". If we don't count three, we start shaking the kitty treat bag and opening closets.

MMM, I thought Eva was the sneaky one. When one visits the Hotel K house rules with regards to cats have to be observed, even if the guest has not problem with curious cats.

I know the feeling, they do like to hide in dark places, Cats seem drawn to closets like nothing else...

Yep! Or basements for that matter. Happy does like basements.

That's strange...Over here practically every house has a basement. Where we lived before, we made it our wine cellar. Over here I don't have a basement though, unfortunatily.

It's a combination of sandy soil and lots of earthquake fault lines, that and it's cheaper to not construct a basement...

Well, it looks like we had a pleasant little surprise yesterday:

We hadn't spayed Mickey yet because we wanted to mate her around the age of 1.5 or 2, but it looks like my brother's dog got to her first while we were out at work. We were concerned about her only having the one little puppy, so we took her to the vet to have her checked out. The vet said she only had one due to her very young age, but otherwise she is in perfect health.

I'm none-too-happy about her getting pregnant at such a young age (we'll save that discussion for later), but I'm still happy to have this darling enter our home naturally.

She's just so darned cute and adorable that I just wanted to share with you all.

Why isn't your name showing up anywhere?

Wow! Great looking dogs, I've always liked huskies, but this isn't the climate for them where I live and I don't have a yard for a dog, plus I have a large cat.

Thanks Victor. Yes, I love my huskies; they are so beautiful! I just wish I hadn't developed these really nasty allergies that prevent me from spending enough time with my animals during certain times of the year. Like right now I can't even go near Mom or Baby for more than five minutes lest I start wheezing and sneezing and gasping for air. Antihistamines help, but they're not a cure! :(

I grew up with a Husky across the road from our family home. Used to let us ride on its back as kids. Friendliest dog on the planet. I miss him.
