I have been running seti at home on my computer for a few years I just set up my computer at work to run it. I want the computer at work to run along with the computer at home on the same project but it looks like it is not doing that, I am not seeing the 130,000 plus credits I have earned showing up on the stats on my computer at work how do I get these two to play together.

Each account is "anchored" by the email address you use to sign up. If you did not use the same email address when you installed BOINC on your work computer, or if you mis-typed the email address (essentially creating a new SETI account), then it won't get the same account information.

So is there any way to get both computers on the same account now that I already set this up. I think what happened is the first one was set up under an e-mail account that was no longer available when I set up the second account. It has been so many years I just don't remember for sure. I can tell you both accounts belong to the green cards for green men team and I am from Ohio if there is any other info you may need I will have to wait till I get home and can get on that computer, the only other thing I can tell you is I have somewhere in the area of 131,000 credits on my home computer. I want to some how have both computers working in tandem but do not want to lose the many years of credits I have. 8175945 is my user ID from my profile page and on that page it says I joined in Aug of 2005 but it seem to only be showing credits from this work computer I just set up

Copy the account_*.xml file from the home computer to the BOINC data directory of the work computer, allowing it to overwrite. That's the easiest way, as this file contains information that the server uses to look up your account.

I think what happened is the first one was set up under an e-mail account that was no longer available when I set up the second account. FYI - Even if the email you used when you signed up with SETI@Home is no longer available, only the email address itself is required to sign into SETI@Home. There is no mechanism in place (on any site) that actually goes out to that email server to authenticate the address to make sure it's valid. Likewise, the password you use for SETI@Home does not have to be the same email password you use to sign up to SETI@Home, and changing your email password does not change your password here on SETI.

I think what happened is the first one was set up under an e-mail account that was no longer available when I set up the second account. I think you type SETI a few too many times in that sentence. ____________ BOINC WIKI

Yes, go into your computers, find the duplicate entry and select Details. At the bottom of the page there should be an option for merging computers. When you click the option, any available computer(s) for merging will be shown. Select the one you want to merge and then click Merge.
