Upgraded to new version yesterday and have no problems. Did notice that the driver only crashed once since then, so maybe that problem has been corrected. 301.42 was always blinking out on me, but it didn't affect any processing.

Why do you need 290 for Einstein? Mine is running just fine on 306.23, as you can see.

We had a conversation a few days ago about a Quadro FX 1800 running slow with the newer drivers, but with your computers hidden at both sites I can't tell if that 'old hardware' problem applies to you too.

Dunno whether anyone's doing any benchtesting these days - just Claggy, I think. I'm still at the "phew, it works - and doesn't break Rom's memory size detection fix for BOINC v7.0.36, thank goodness" stage. That slow Quadro is at round about the 9600GS level, so that doesn't tell you anything about the performance of modern Fermis and Keplers.

I must admit......with work and all, I have lagged on any benchies I used to do.
Rely mostly on the reports I get from the outlying regions. Claggy is doing most of that for us.

I one was the one who did much of that.

I will try the 306. I remember I had trouble with 3xx driver before, that is why I downgraded to 290. SETI ran fine with the 3xx driver.

Depends on your card type. If it's pre-Fermi, it's quite probably not worth upgrading, too early to tell. I looked, but I don't think you posted at Einstein about problems.

Using Freds Seti performance program it should be easy to test the new drivers.

The people forgot my benchmark tests which I made in past .. ? *confused*

For you interested ..

My last test which was with 301.42 WHQL ..

On my system (Intel Core2 Duo E7600, GTX260 O/C, WinXP 32bit) still 275.33 is the best/fastest driver.

I don't know if it's worth to test 306.23 on this old hardware ..

I don't know if it's worth to test 306.23 on this old hardware ..

Probably not, my tests on my 9800GTX+ showed a large slowdown on Cuda 5 drivers for legacy (pre-Fermi) GPUs:
