I'm reasonably certain that the answer to your question is: You can't. It is after all, a screen saver, designed to prevent burn-in on your display. If it stayed in one place, its purpose would be defeated. ____________

It is after all, a screen saver, designed to prevent burn-in on your display. If it stayed in one place, its purpose would be defeated. That is correct, but you can stop the screensaver from bouncing nonetheless. Go to your SETI@home preferences and select "custom" for "Graphics preferences". After updating the preferences, you can set all the "time" and "period" fields to zero and update the preferences again. Now connect your client to the server once again ("Update" button) and the screensaver stops bouncing. Gruß, Gundolf ____________ Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. [/quote] Yes it would and if you use your GPU to crunch it is recommended that you turn it off. Most serious crunchers here haven't used the screensaver in years. ____________

Then what is the opposite of a serious cruncher? A silly one? ;-D "Serious crunchers" as opposed to "normal crunchers" are ones who build fearsome PC's just to crunch and nothing else. It is an affliction best avoided as it can consume time and money. ____________
