Those 200 hours are only a (pretty bad) estimate. BOINC will get better in guessing over time. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) SETI@home classic workunits 3,758 SETI@home classic CPU time 66,520 hours |

No, there's nothing you can change in the computing preferences concerning the AstroPulse (or any) runtimes. If the AstroPulse runtimes are too long for your liking, you could disable requesting them in your SETI@home preferences. Don't forget to also deselect "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications". The only means to really accelerate the processing of work units would be installing optimised applications (keyword "Lunatics"), but then you'd be responsible yourself to remain up to date with software versions. Initially the estimates will be grossly too big. You have to get ten completed, and validated before they get more accurate. (Excuse my French, I have used "Babelfish" to translate for me) Initialement les estimations seront grossièrement à trop grosses. Vous devez obtenir dix terminé et validé avant qu'ils obtiennent plus précis. I am running highly optimised applications so my times will be faster that those you will get using the basic application. An Astropulse takes me about 21 hours, and a Muli Beam about 4 hours. You may expect to take twice these times. (I think it was very unfair of BOINC to send you an Astropulse as your first task) (Je pense que c'est très injuste de BOINC pour vous envoyer un Astropulse comme votre première tâche) Bob Smith Member of Seti PIPPS (Pluto is a Planet Protest Society) Somewhere in the (un)known Universe? |
