Message 1294337 - Posted: 12 Oct 2012, 17:35:02 UTC - in response to Message 1294326.

"Transistor mine" is one of the labels. "Glass knick knacks" is another....

LOL!!!!!!! The last time we moved, I labeled a box of decorative items "objet d′art". Eric took one look at that box, busted out laughing and said, "You know the difference between you and my mother?" I professed that I did not and Eric replied, "You both have a houseful of junk, but she calls her junk 'knick knacks'!!!"

The last time we moved, I forgot to label the boxes! Really hard to find out then what goes where. It was only like 7 months after the accident, so my mind was somewhere else of course.

Even with labels, I have a hard time finding some stuff... But I need more shelving, to clear up the clutter...

Here is my son holding a pile of day old bunnies. They were bought over on Thanksgiving by my other half's niece. They had been left at the animal shelter after their mum died giving birth to them and she had volunteered to take over their feeding until they were old enough to be fostered.

Soooooo cute. If I get to see them when they are older I shall post more pics.

Yeah without their Mom or a suitable replacement they could die.

Yeah without their Mom or a suitable replacement they could die.

She reckoned she would probably lose half of them. :(

You know GF. Those pics could have been the star pics in your next Raccoon thread. I don't remember Zsa Zsa being that small.

@Angela: Nice pics:)

@Esme: I remember when my dogs had puppies. They were so tiny! They're so fragile at that time. One dog lost 4 puppies and the other 2.

You know GF. Those pics could have been the star pics in your next Raccoon thread. I don't remember Zsa Zsa being that small.

Do we really need to start new threads now that they load by pages? If so, I will find other pictures. We have far too many pictures of our critters!

Zsa Zsa and Eva are both small cats. Their mama died and these two, plus two brothers, were orphaned "bottle babies" that a few vet techs at our vet's office saved - much the way Esme's younger son is bottle feeding the bunnies. I often wonder if "bottle babies" tend to be smaller cats. Perhaps our Kittyman knows?

I think it was much easier for the vet techs to save these kittens than it will be for Esme's son to save those bunnies. The vet techs rotated the kittens from home to home every few days so that no one of them went for longer than a few days without a good night's sleep. During the day, they took the kittens into work and fed them there. Kittens (and bunnies I presume), like human infants, wake up to feed during the night. My brother and sister-in-law have an infant now and they just look exhausted all the time!

We are very fond of our "twins" Eva and Zsa Zsa and we are so grateful to the vet techs for putting in the time, effort and energy it took to keep this litter of orphaned kittens alive. The boys in the litter were adopted out together as well.

Bless you, Angela.
And all other 'keepers of the kittens' as well.

When you were a little one, you had to rely on others for your care. Kittens are no less so.
Perhaps more so, because they are simply so innocent of all.

We were all there. Kittens just remain there longer than the rest of us.
