I'm afraid that Eric absolutely insists that all my little woodland friends remain outside, all of the time.

Those are 'ferals' though, what if you adopted a baby and raised it?? (I couldn't do it, they are more mischievous than any critter, and have the hands to get into everything. Not to mention their voracious appetites.) :-)

Anyways I'm sure California has some laws against raccoons and probably several other types of animals, being kept as pets.

According to this site and a few others, Well I'll just quote this Official CA Dept of fish and Game website...

It is not only illegal to keep raccoons (or any wildlife) as pets or in captivity, but it also may be dangerous. Wild animals such as raccoons can become very aggressive and dangerous to both humans and pets as they mature. In addition, they can carry diseases and parasites that can present health risks to humans. Wildlife need to be kept wild for their safety and well-being, as well as ours. Only people who are permitted by DFG (for example, licensed wildlife rehabilitators or exhibitors) may keep wildlife in captivity. To report this situation, please contact our CalTIP line at 1-888-334-2258.

Our Ariminta, when she was alive a few years ago, looked like that puddy!
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

Eric and I leave the house at 7am and return at 8pm... on a good night. We couldn't even handle a dog, much less an indoor raccoon! Cats are about the most we can handle.

Me too, couldn't agree more, I like wild life and such outside, where it belongs.

She looks good.

Thanks Celt, and now Grace is about a year older and She's a healthy and bigger cat now. I pick Her up and She starts purring in My arms, I'm glad that I rescued Her, as I think She is rescuing Me some.

LOL on the picture.

I am shipping the cookies. I have been graciously granted a reprieve of a couple of weeks, given my crazy work schedule and my even more crazy upcoming weekend schedules. October is my "busy season"... <insert witch cackle here>. I hope to have the cookies in the mail within a couple of weeks. Eric and I even more fervently hope to win this now annual bet next year!!!
