Message 1292056 - Posted: 6 Oct 2012, 15:14:13 UTC - in response to Message 1291877.

Your a child of God Bobby. And God loves you. God wants you to research this topic and learn about what he created. God whats you to learn so you will understand what happened in your past. Your not a monkey Bobby, you never were, and your never going to be a monkey.

John.

Until, after his death, when Judgement Day arrives, and he is cloned/resurrected into a monkey body with a human mind, unable to speak with his fellow evolutionists' in monkey bodies, because monkeys can't speak? This for his sin believing in evolution?

Sarge,
I didn't say that Bobby was going to be cloned back into a monkey's body. I said it was possible, i didn't say it was going to happen. I advised Bobby to be careful about what he preaches, that he might just get his wish.

I'm not God, and i'm not Bobby's judge. Bobby will get what Bobby has worked for when he meets his maker. So will i. I will get what i have worked for. I will also be judged according to the deeds and actions i have done during my life, both good and bad. You too Sarge, same thing will happen to you.

John.

Perhaps you'll answer this one after being asked three times:

Why do you believe that tRNAs never evolve via random mutation?
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

I'm sorry Bobby,
Perhaps i won't answer the question. See if you can figure out why.

Surely it's very dangerous for me to assume anything when it's your beliefs that are being discussed? The evidence you have provided thus far might lead readers to any one of a number of different conclusions, with no guarantee that any of them are correct.

An episode of In Our Time was mentioned earlier, have you listened to it? Have you read any of the items listed under "Further Reading"? If so, which ones?
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that ...

So, the appendix is not junk/.

Sarge,
Now that is a really intelligent question!

Doctors have been debating the function of the appendix for years. And would you believe, they still have not reached a definite consensus. People get stomach pains, and they just cut out the appendix, and the person seems to work just fine after the operation. So you MIGHT conclude that the appendix has no function. But that is a very simplistic conclusion to come too!

If i operate on you, and i cut off your right arm, you will still "function" as a perfect human being afterwards. But that does not mean your right arm has no function. So the appendix is the same. Its just harder to figure out the precise function of the organ.

But personally myself, i do believe it has some very specific function. Maybe it secretes some unusual acid only at very specific times to dissolve some very specific plant or protein. We will figure it out eventually, but it will take time. But it is not there by accident, it has some function.

Read it yourself;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vermiform_appendix

In my opinion, the best attitude to have in relation to the appendix is to "keep and open mind". We will figure out its function in time.

John.
