Tasks not running

	My account states that there are 2 astropulse and 2 seti tasks running but only one astrpulse has been running since 8/29/12. The other 3 searches never started. BOINC screensaver goes on one computer and states no running tasks but should be running 2 seti searches according to my account. The other computer should have 2 astropulses, but only one is running. Any idea why? Thanks

	BOINC will by default run one task on each CPU core/each GPU. If it doesn't, it's set not to in the computing preferences, e.g. On multiprocessors, use at most 2 processors On multiprocessors, use at most 50% of the processors This will set the minimum of 2 CPUs and tell BOINC to use only 1. Set the second one to 100% and then as long as there's enough memory, it'll use all cores. 	Greetins, Kasimu here and i am a newbie to this set with purdue but not with seti-prog. however i have been having a few issues with the preojects running and i believe i may have solved part of the issue. i reset preferences and that should eliminate project suspensions that i did not want to occur. Test Theory4 never did start up and i believe it reached the time limit before i reset. i want to continue with another project but i am not able to understannd if TT4 is completed or not. i wish you to pass this txt on to prog director and perhaps you or prog super could contact i. skype is active on this computer. glad to be aboard...link up ____________

	oh yes, i was having a error message fluter in and out like a screen saver after i down loaded boinc i believe. recieved message about the bug...i believe that is a mutation or a tendril attachment. i am not certain that it is fully excised but just not popping up as fast or as consistently as before will keep you updated. this comp. is new and up and running only 2 months...hmmm respect ____________

For example, this is the SETI@Home Questions and Answers section related to SETI@Home (and sometimes BOINC) problems. The Test4Theory project has their own message boards here. Keep in mind that most projects do not have the ability or manpower to offer personalized support, so they may not be able to Skype with you, and those that do are likely volunteer troubleshooters and not a Project Director/Administrator at all.
