There is no God, now wake up and take responsibility for your own life. When people start having converations with imaginary people they are usually diagnosed as schizophrenic.

There is no God, now wake up and take responsibility for your own life. You call it what you will, I call it faith. As the thread title indicates, I happen to believe in God. You might ridicule me for this. But it brings me much comfort. ____________ ****** "Ask not, what your kitty can do for you. Ask what you can do for your kitty." As it is kitten, so shall it be done.

Mark, both might be true.

It's quite evident by the level of serenity you bring to the boards. :) ____________ "When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor have no food, they call me a Communist." Dom Hélder Pessoa Câmara

Is it really that hard to make a "scientific" approach when it comes to certain subjects for those people who insist or state that they are "believers"? (Read at the bottom). You make very little sense, and a lot of people are ignoring you.

When people start having conversations with imaginary people they are usually diagnosed as schizophrenic. Sounds like that old saying "When I talk to God it's called prayer. When God talks back it's called schizophrenia". It all depends what he says I suppose. :-) T.A.

.....Religion is not supposed to have done us anything good, never..... Religion per se may not have, although many have found comfort in its teachings. The followers of religion though have done a lot for humanity in general. The Salvos and St. Vincent de Paul Society to name two. T.A.

.....Religion is not supposed to have done us anything good, never..... I find comfort in the teachings of Roger Highfield, does that make him a God? I think he'd resent the accusation. ____________ Chemists have all the solutions! Skype me: simonator### (one zero one)

Any scientists in here? I still think I'm better at explaining many things than others around here... You are of course perfectly entitled to your opinion ....

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but a wise person understands the difference between opinion and fact.

but a wise person understands the difference between opinion and fact. From what I've seen in here, in accordance with the highly vocal self-proclaimed enlightened ones, there are no absolutes, rights or wrongs (NARWs). Everything is dependent on time, place and condition. What may be true/false now is not necessarily true/false tomorrow. Therefore, there can be no such thing as facts in these forums. On a more positive note, my Che Guevara look alike brother, this admission admits that we humans are not infallible. This logically leads to humility. Humility is one of the first steps to being allowed into the Kingdom of Heaven! Shame is the next logical step to tip the scale in favor of St. Peter deciding to allow one to pass through the pearly gates! Keep going my brother, you will make it! Peace and Love, sincerely, Guy the Great!
