Heya BOINC (7.0.28 x64) does not detect the GPU when starting (Messenges). Installed driver version 12.8 as it appeared these days and reinstalled BOINC, but still having the same problem. Heya Just from the basic description, it sounds like you installed BOINC in protected mode. With Windows Vista and above that does not allow BOINC to see the GPU. You will need to uninstall BOINC, then reinstall and go into advanced options and deselect protected mode. |

That solved the problem above (thanks so far) but caused a new one! But after shutting down the system and starting the next day, BOINC will not run anymore. BOINC tells me to start BOINC via "services". But there is no BOINC-service to start!? What to do now? btw: I did not have these problems with the old version before ... - |

sounds like you need to uninstall and reinstall BOINC. just an FYI. Once you have installed BOINC 7.0.XX you will lose all work if you attempt to revert back to a 6.XX.XX version In a rich man's house there is no place to spit but his face. Diogenes Of Sinope |
